Chronicle of Life
Chronicle of Life is an audiovisual performance that took place in 2023 at the College of Music in Groningen, Netherlands. Created and performed by soprano Mira Alkhovik and pianist Alla Belova, the project depicted an entire lifetime—birth, maternal love, first romance, betrayal, career, loss, and death—within just 30 minutes.
The musical foundation of the performance was built on Lieder by Mahler, Chausson, Berg, and Britten, creating a rich emotional tapestry. The performers enhanced the storytelling by incorporating costume changes and symbolic props, visually transforming the stage to reflect different phases of life. A textual component, O Earth, you gave me all I have, further deepened the narrative.
