Mira Alkhovik
Mira Alkhovik was born in St. Petersburg and studied violin for 12 years before transitioning to vocal performance at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory. She continued her training at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and later specialized in opera at the Bern Academy of the Arts, graduating with honors in 2024.
A recipient of the prestigious Eva Kleinitz Scholarship (2024) and multiple vocal competition prizes, Mira made her European debut as Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) in Switzerland (2021). She has since performed Amour (Orphée et Euridice), Anna (Nabucco), and Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) at the Biel Solothurn Opera Theatre. In 2024, she debuted as Mimi (La Bohème) at Teatro Solís de Montevideo.
In the 2024/25 season, Mira joins the Volksoper Wien Opernstudio, performing Taumännchen (Hänsel und Gretel) and Yvette (La Rondine). Alongside her opera career, she is an accomplished chamber musician, having trained at the Verbier Festival Academy and Heidelberger Frühling Liedakademie. She has released two Lied albums: Falling for Love (2023) and Catalan Melodies (2024).
