Doron Eshkol
Born in Israel, soprano Doron Eshkol began her musical journey as a violinist and singer, performing in various ensembles while developing her vocal training. Since 2020, she has studied with Ms. Efrat Ben Nun and graduated with honors from the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University in 2026. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), where she studies in the class of internationally acclaimed soprano Prof. KS Diana Damrau.
Eshkol made her operatic stage debut as Barbarina in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, followed by Despina in Mozart’s Così fan tutte. In 2026, she made two important role debuts: Morgana in Händel’s Alcina at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music and, most notably, Gilda in Verdi’s Rigoletto with the Vienna Opera Festival.
Alongside her operatic work, Doron has a strong passion for Lied and oratorio. Her oratorio repertoire includes Mozart’s Mass in C minor K. 427 and Requiem, Bach’s Cantata No. 4, and the Daughter of Jephte in Carissimi’s Jephte, among other works.
Eshkol is the recipient of the Excellence Scholarship from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation for 2022/2023, as well as Excellence Scholarships from the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music for the academic years 2022/2023 through 2025/2026.
She has gained valuable artistic and musical inspiration through masterclasses with Prof. KS Lina Watson, Prof. KS Diana Damrau, Prof. Martin Vacha, Prof. Kevin Murphy, Prof. Heidi Grant Murphy, Maestro Daniel Cohen, Prof. Zvi Semel, Prof. Karola Theill, Mr. Marc Verter, and Maestro Yuval Zorn.
